Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi called Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman the King of Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday to discuss on the mounting military escalation in Gaza and the region around it. The kingdom is making every effort to communicate with all international and regional stakeholders in order to stop the escalation, the crown prince reaffirmed.

He emphasised Saudi Arabia’s opposition to killing innocent people and targeting civilians, reinforced the importance of adhering to the norms of international humanitarian law, and noted his great worry about the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

The crown prince emphasised the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause and initiatives aimed at establishing a comprehensive and just peace that upholds the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

In the same vein, to uphold peaceful coexistence and security stability in Palestine and Israel, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also made efforts to dialogue with the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, on Thursday. In a phone discussion, French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reviewed the situation in Gaza.

The necessity of talking about stopping military actions that result in the deaths of innocent people was emphasised by the crown prince. He reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to working to de-escalate the situation, uphold international humanitarian law, including lifting the siege on Gaza, and foster a return to stability in order to guarantee that the Palestinian people receive their legal due process rights and that a just and lasting peace is achieved.

The kingdom, the crown prince emphasised, rejects any kind of targeting civilians or interference with essential interests that have an impact on their everyday life.

Recall that the escalating war between Palestine and Israel has claimed many lives and destroyed numerous properties in the duo countries, and United Nation Security Council’s meeting to end the unfortunate war hit deadlock. Hence, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is making efforts to ceasefire between the two countries.
