The premises of the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta in Ogun State, was beehive of activities , earlier today when in an unprecedented manner staff trooped out, to welcome back to the Office , Professor Abd’Samiu Adewale Musa-Olomu as he starts his second tenure of four years in the office as the Medical Director, of the centre.

Prof Adewale Musa-Olomu, was treated to a rousing and triumphal entry into the Centre. And Just like his first Medical Director’s Forum in 2017, when jubilant staff were almost falling on each other to have an handshake with their new Medical Director , the second coming , this time around had the trappings of a carnival.The security agents had a tough and hectic time controlling the surging crowd who thronged the open roof car to catch a glimpse of the Medical Director whom many had missed and saw last on 1st June, 2021 when he stepped aside after a successful completion of first term in office.

Speaking at the capacity filled Telemedicine Hall, venue of the grand reception, the highly elated Medical Director said he had pushed the events of the past behind him in the overall interest of the development of the Centre.

He said he bears no grudge with anyone and sued for the collective support of all and sundry for his new administration.

The Medical Director pedged his determination to fast track the development in the Centre beginning with the assurance of the completion of the new Medical Director’s office in the next six months.

He profusely thanked President Muhammadu Buhari,and the Ministers of Health, Dr.Ehanire Osagie and most importantly, Dr. (Senator) Olorunnimbe Mamora, Minister of State for Health for his steadfastness in the “face of heat and pressure”

Speaking on behalf of the Hospital Management Committee , Head of Clinical Services Dr. Fidelis Ojeblenu pledged the unflinching support of the entire members of management to the new administration.

In their speeches, the Chairmen of JOHESU Comrade Olatokun and NANMN,.Comrade Ajoke Bello assured the Medical Director of their unions’ preparedness to support the Medical Director in his vision to holistically transform the Centre in all aspects of its mandate.

The colorful event witnessed Ewi rendition, Corpers Special March Parade and Musicals.
