As Muslim Ummah celebrate SALLAH, A season of sacrifice, caring and sharing, forgiveness and togetherness, for peace, growth and development.Gombe State First Lady, Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya, has called on Muslim faithfuls especially Gwambawa, to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir by being kind to one another, through caring and sharing the sacrificial meat with the less privileged and let the joy go round. The First Lady made the call in a Sallah message, to rejoice with Muslims worldwide in marking this year’s Eid-el-Adha festival as they perform one of the religious rites(animal sacrifice), praying and seeking for ALLAH’s forgiveness in order to begin the new islamic year on a clean slate.These, the first lady added, that it is by giving to the needy no matter how little, thereby putting smiles on their faces on this feast day, that God gives you joy, contentment and replenishes ones wealth.Dr.Asma’u Inuwa also appreciated Gombe state women, for being resolute in the pursuit of their socioeconomic goals, to support their families as well as contribute to the growth and development of not only Gombe state, but Nigeria as a whole. “I am thrilled to see your potentials as better managers of homes and your doggedness to becoming economically empowered and self reliant, thus my resolve to continue working together and supporting you achieve such educational and socioeconomic skills/ potentials fully deserved”.It is worthy for me to thank and appreciate my dear husband, governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for giving our women, who are great assets of development ,a level playing field,to realize their dreams and contribute to nation building.She then in the spirit of the season, appealed to all and sundry to team up, support and embrace each other through thick and thin, so that together, we can achieve our common goals in fighting moral decadence,financial and social insecurity in our homes, communities, states and the country at large.
