The wife of Gombe State governor, Dr.Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya has presided over the At Risk Children Project Advisory committee meeting in preparations for the flag-off of the induction training of the First batch of 500 ARC -P Gombe volunteers.
After the deliberation of the committee, Gombe state First Lady who doubles as the chairperson of the advisory committee read the resolutions adopted, thus;
- That the project Advisory Committee should finalize prepations for the flag-off of the induction training of the 1st batch of the ARC-P Gombe 500 volunteers,scheduled from 14th to 19th of September,2021.
- That PAC has resolved to adopt the nation’s policy of the sharing ratio of social investment Programme.
3.That it has adopted the proposed centers of Kaltungo, NITDA office Gombe and Kwami teachers training centre,with the plan to accommodate 200,100&200 respectively, for the volunteers training.And
- Adoption of training format in ICT,Agriculture,entrepreneurial and financial literacy,digital and mental skills,child rights and mentorship,ARC-P national goals as well as monitoring,evaluation and reporting.
The First Lady then adviced the volunteers to be hardworking and diligently committed toward obtaining the knowledge that will in turn, impact positively on the lives of the poor and vulnerable.
Earlier in his mid-year report,the ARC- P lead who is the special adviser to the governor on human capital development, Barrister Sani Ahmed Haruna updated the PAC chairperson, Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya on activities carried out so as to bring her up to speed on the accomplishments of the office and to strategize/plan for events as they unfold in order to achieve the desired results , bearing in mind the up coming flag-off of volunteers training.
The project coordinator,Barrister Sani Haruna further assured the governor’s wife of his confidence in the project implementation team of delivering on the mandate given to them.

thanked the governor and his wife for finding her worthy of the position,promising to work harmoniously as a team in order to make a great impact on the lives of the less privileged in Gombe State.
Other members of the advisory committee, Dr. Abubakar Sadiq and Aishatu Abubakar advised the PIT to strictly consider the real target beneficiaries of the project,who are the most poor and vulnerable homes to bring succor and smiles on their faces.
Finally, the board ,under the chairmanship of the governor’s wife,Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya, directed the project implementation team to ensure that all the resolutions are carried out including readiness at centres and to report back to PAC immediately.
PAC members presented to the First Lady ,an enlarged picture of her honorary doctorate degree of science (Dr. of sc , Honoris causa) in child development science,conferred on her by the International Human Rights Education Federation, thereby, congratulating and informing her that they are proud to be associated with a women of her caliber.
